Does Hetzner accept crypto? How to pay for a Hetzner server with Bitcoin or USDT
Short answer: no. Here is what Hetzner accepts instead and how to pay with crypto anyway.

The short answer
Hetzner does not accept Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency. Its Payment Overview says it plainly: "We do not accept cryptocurrencies." (checked 2026-10-24). If you want to pay with crypto, the practical way is to rent the server from a reseller that takes crypto and orders the server from Hetzner for you. Winservers.NET does exactly that.
What Hetzner accepts
According to the same Hetzner page:
- Credit cards: VISA, Mastercard, AMEX and UnionPay.
- SEPA direct debit: only for EUR accounts.
- Bank transfer: paid manually with your customer ID in the payment reason.
- PayPal: manual payments only, through the Hetzner account.
Apple Pay is not accepted, even when it is linked to a card, and Hetzner notes that not every option is offered in every country. The list of options available to you is shown in your Hetzner account.
How to pay with crypto
Since Hetzner does not take crypto itself, the way to pay with it is through a company that does. You pay the reseller in BTC, USDT or another coin, the reseller pays Hetzner by the methods above, and you get access to the server. Other guides describe buying prepaid cards or gift cards with crypto; we have not tested those, they add fees, and whether they work depends on Hetzner accepting that card.

Does Hetzner accept Bitcoin?
No. Hetzner's payment documentation says: "We do not accept cryptocurrencies." Bitcoin is not accepted either.

Can I get a refund of a crypto payment?
